Your brand is who your business is and it is important that you keep your brand's identity consistent across the different platforms (websites/print) and social media.
You may have a few versions of your brand's logo as there are different sizes needed for different areas. But these should have a similar look and appeal to them. Your brand should be represented across all social media outlets as much as possible. If you are working on building your brand, then you are also working on building your social media. Brand identity. Your brand identity is essentially your brand's logo, message, and tagline. If you plan to advertise in print, your brand should be consistent there as well. Branding is helping you show your potential clients why you are better than the competition. Your social media is mostly about images and finding images that will make your followers engage and interact. These images might not be a simple product image but maybe an example of which your products could help in a certain situation. Things such as a before and after of say a garden renovation would be a good way to portray a garden landscaping business. These images are not necessarily stock images either, but real examples that can help make your audience engage more by seeing you are a genuine company. Your tone People are drawn to hope and happiness. Convey how your product or service can help them with their problems in a happy and hopeful tone. This will draw them to your posts and keep them wanting to see more. Having the wrong tone can put off some clients. For example, you don't want to scare your potential clients by doing something in a scary way to say a children's birthday party. While taking note of the importance of branding on social media, always play with the images, as they are what make people click through to the information you want to provide them. Be sure that you have a clear and concise tone with your words and images across the board with your branding social media. Avoid cluttered images. Images that are too busy or the message gets lost are of no use to your branding in social media. Stay appropriate While many of us will giggle at some innuendos, you should avoid them in areas that it is not appropriate for your branding in social media. For example, these might be fun and funny for an adult type place such as a bar or nightclub, not for a family attraction. You don’t want to be remembered for the wrong reasons. Remember your Avatar! You should create a brand avatar. This is an image that you will use in all of your profile images to get recognised. This avatar should be something that represents your company as a whole. You can use a cartoon of a person or your logo or a version of your logo. However, this needs to be consistent, as all things being used in branding social media.
